Hamilton National Tour Finds Titular Character in Michael Luwoye
Chuck Rocha is the founder of Solidarity Strategies, the Washington, DC-based political consulting group named 2016 Consultants of the Year by the Goldie Awards. As the company’s president, Chuck Rocha runs the firm's daily activities while also managing the branding, marketing, and clientele. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys live action theater and productions such as the award-winning musical Hamilton.
In preparation for the stage production's national tour, Hamilton found its lead in Broadway actor Michael Luwoye. Although Luwoye is the fifth to play the titular character, he was the first actor to play both Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr on the same night, just hours apart from each other.
Luwoye said it “warms his heart” that Hamilton will be available to a wider audience, promising fans a “gritty” take on the Founding Father. The Hamilton national tour kicked off in San Francisco in March 2017 and will run for 21 weeks before migrating south to Los Angeles for another 21-week run.

Chuck Rocha is the president and founder of Solidarity Strategies, his political consultant firm in Washington D.C., that was named Consultants of the Year in 2016 by the Political Goldie Awards. Outside of his work, as well as his own podcast named Rocha Revolution, Chuck Rocha contributes his time to organizations such as Netroots Nation.
Netroots Nation, a nonprofit organization, focuses on bringing together progressive voices in a way that allows people to exchange ideas and amplify their ideas. The organization places emphasis on the role technology plays in politics, and works with members to show them the best possible ways to utilize technology to gain attention.
Members and other interested parties come together at Netroots Nation’s annual convention, a trend which began in 2005 as a way to bring together political advocates who were interested in amplifying their voice through technology. The Netroots Nation gathering typically features prominent politicians as key speakers, over 80 panels in which attendees can discuss new ideas in the political sphere, and a variety of training sessions for those who wish to promote themselves or their ideas through technology.
